Chicago Modern Metal / Hard Rock Project Delivers 12 Tracks of Heavy Riffs, Melodic Hooks, Powerful Vocals and Dark Cinematic Atmosphere

Chicago, Illinois — October 2026 — Chicago-based modern metal and hard rock project Cease To Resist has officially released its debut full-length album, Edge Of Silence, an independently released 12-track collection that balances crushing guitar work and powerful vocals with melodic songwriting, atmospheric tension and emotionally driven performances.

Released August 21, 2026, Edge Of Silence introduces a project built around the idea that heavy music does not have to sacrifice melody, dynamics or memorable songwriting in the pursuit of intensity. Throughout the album, Cease To Resist moves between aggressive metal passages, hard rock hooks, darker atmospheric moments and more introspective sections, creating a sound that is both heavy and accessible.

Led by guitarist, songwriter and producer Randy Gonet, Cease To Resist features Tom Miller on drums and Marko Duplišak on vocals. Additional songwriting and guitar contributions come from Aaron Czajka, who co-wrote four songs and performed electric guitar on three tracks.

With influences that will appeal to fans of Testament, Megadeth and Disturbed, Cease To Resist brings together the precision and weight of modern metal with the immediacy of hard rock and a strong emphasis on memorable hooks.

The album campaign has already introduced listeners to six tracks released ahead of the full-length: “The Dark,” “Can’t Stand The Fire,” “The Rite,” “Dragon’s Kiss,” “Walk Away,” and “We Rise.” Those releases have helped establish Cease To Resist across streaming platforms, playlists, radio and independent metal media while setting the stage for the complete album.

Rather than limiting the campaign to a predetermined focus single, Cease To Resist is presenting Edge Of Silence as a complete album, giving media outlets, radio programs, reviewers and listeners the freedom to discover and spotlight whichever tracks best fit their audience.

The album's production brings together an international team of experienced metal professionals. Edge Of Silence was mixed by Johan Martin and mastered by Tony Lindgren at Fascination Street Studios in Sweden, giving the record a polished modern sound while maintaining the weight and character of the band's instrumentation.
