Bay Area thrash unit FROLIC are set to unleash their second full-length album, Legacies of Cybernetica , arriving July 3, 2026 on vinyl through HECTIC Records , with CD, cassette, and digital editions releasing independently the same day.

Pre-orders for the vinyl edition are available now, with all shipments scheduled to go out on or before release day.

Built from the grit of the Bay Area underground and sharpened by years of relentless live shows, Legacies of Cybernetica pushes FROLIC further into technical, melodic, and progressive extremes while still keeping one foot planted firmly in old school thrash tradition. No polish for polish’s sake here. Just impact, speed, and intent.

About the Release

Legacies of Cybernetica continues FROLIC’s evolution beyond their 2022 debut Fusion of Spirits , expanding their sound into more aggressive, technical, and experimental territory while keeping the core thrash identity intact. Expect sharp riff work, high velocity drumming, and arrangements that swing between chaos and control without warning.

Fans of Kreator, Exodus, Death Angel, and Revocation will feel right at home, but not too comfortable.

Band Background

FROLIC’s rise through the Bay Area circuit has been hard earned and loud enough to get attention well beyond the underground. Since their debut, the band has shared stages with acts including Suicidal Tendencies, Death Angel, Possessed, Forbidden, Biohazard, Eyehategod, Warbringer, Goatwhore, and more, while carving out their own identity in a crowded modern thrash landscape.

Their reputation is built the old way, through live shows, word of mouth, and records that hit harder every time you spin them.
