BITTER SIGN WITH CDN RECORDS AND RELEASE NEW SINGLE “MALEVOLENT” WITH OFFICIAL VIDEO

Montreal, Quebec – May 12, 2026 – Quebec slamming beatdown deathcore outfit Bitter are kicking the door wide open with the announcement of their official signing to CDN Records, paired with the release of their brand new single “Malevolent” and its official music video.

No buildup, no warning, just impact.

“Malevolent” shows exactly where Bitter is headed. Heavy, ugly in all the right ways, and built on that sharp, chaotic energy the band has been carving out since forming in late 2024. This release also sets the tone for their upcoming EP Slamosaurus Rex, due later this year.

ABOUT THE BAND

Bitter is a slamming beatdown deathcore band formed in December 2024, bringing together members from Montreal, Lanaudière, and Gatineau, Quebec. The project was founded by father and son Yan Chatel and Kilian Langlois-Chatel, later expanding into a full lineup built on chemistry, trust, and shared aggression.

Current lineup:
Kilian Langlois-Chatel – Lead Vocals
Michael Lalancette – Guitar and electronics
Mathieu Parent – Guitar
Eric Cooper-Lefebvre – Drums
Yan Chatel – Bass and backing vocals

Their sound pulls influence from Xenotheory, Kanine, and The Acacia Strain, but filters it through a darker, more sarcastic edge. Bitter leans into violent imagery and exaggerated metaphor, delivered with intent and control rather than chaos for chaos’ sake.

PRODUCTION

“Malevolent” was produced, mixed, and mastered by Michael Lalancette, giving the track its tight, crushing punch while keeping every layer of brutality clear in the mix.

THE ROAD AHEAD

With Slamosaurus Rex on the way and CDN Records now in their corner, Bitter are lining up for a heavy push through 2026. More releases, more noise, and no signs of slowing down.
