CDN RECORDS WELCOMES CANADIAN THRASH LEGENDS SOOTHSAYER FOR NEW ALBUM “CHAPTER IV”
Canadian thrash metal is getting a serious shot of old-school fire as CDN Records proudly announces the signing of legendary Quebec City outfit Soothsayer for their upcoming full-length album Chapter IV.
Formed in 1985 in Quebec City, Soothsayer were right there in the trenches when Canadian thrash was carving its identity into the underground. Fast, raw, and built on pure attitude, the band helped shape the sound of the late 80s scene with a no-nonsense approach that still hits just as hard today.
After a long run that earned them cult status across the metal underground, the original lineup reunited in 2007 and has been active ever since, carrying the torch forward without softening a single edge. No reinvention games, no watering it down. Just thrash the way it was meant to be played.
Chapter IV keeps that legacy burning bright. Expect savage riff work, razorwire solos, and that venom-soaked attitude that Soothsayer has never let go of. This is a band that never chased trends because they helped define the blueprint in the first place.
The first single, “Kick Throat,” is out now and already making noise. You can stream it on the CDN Records YouTube channel here:
This is not nostalgia. This is continuation. Loud, fast, and unapologetically underground the way it always was.
Soothsayer are back in full force, and Chapter IV is ready to remind everyone what real thrash still sounds like when it refuses to age quietly.
