Korbo Returns with Ambitious Concept Album Amnésiste ; Lead Single “Sans Maintenant” Out Now

French progressive metal innovators Korbo are back with their highly-anticipated follow-up to 2024’s debut 6ème Extinction . Their new album, Amnésiste , drops March 13th, 2026 , continuing the band’s exploration of progressive metal’s boundless possibilities. Ahead of the album, the lead single “Sans Maintenant” has already arrived January 16th , with its official video releasing January 23rd .

Formed in 2018 by guitarists Aaron Djéla and Léa Périgois , Korbo carved their niche by blending the thunder of metal riffs with the unpredictability of progressive rock. Drawing inspiration from bands like Porcupine Tree, Mastodon, and King Crimson , the band delivers complex, evolving compositions that take listeners on medley-like journeys through shifting musical landscapes.

After establishing a solid lineup in early 2024, Korbo hit the road, performing across French cities including Paris, Lyon, and Strasbourg, and expanding internationally with shows in Luxembourg and Belgium. Their debut album, 6ème Extinction , showcased the band’s signature fusion of melodic, acoustic atmospheres with heavy, distorted riffs, tackling themes from ecological emergency to existential unease.

Amnésiste is a conceptual tour de force exploring the harrowing reality of Alzheimer’s disease. Each track acts as a fragment of a forgotten tale, immersing listeners in a visceral narrative of struggle, anger, and isolation. Across its five vibrant tracks, the album traces the story of a character grappling with memory loss, the quest for meaning, and the emotional void left by absence and longing.

“ Amnésiste is an ambitious and conceptual album that dives us deep down into the hellish state of a person suffering from Alzheimer. This forgotten tale, of which each song is a fragment, draws us ever so deeper into this atmosphere of struggle, anger, loneliness, and wandering,” says Korbo.
