FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Tentaclaus Storms Back with a Double EP Drop Calamari and Daily Grind!
Northern Virginia’s punk troublemakers Tentaclaus have kicked the door back open after a hiatus, and they’re not easing back into anything. They’re dropping two back to back EPs Calamari and Daily Grind serving up grit attitude and the kind of raw edge that reminds everyone why the scene missed them.
Tentaclaus is a Diet Superband made up of players from Never Elected, Shumaun, Positivity Brigade and the Berkley School of Music. Sujit Kumar handles vocals, Scott Silver drives the drums, Jason Nope commands the bass and Tyler Kim dishes out the guitar fire. What started as one album spun into two EPs after some lively boardroom debates. In their words it made more sense and it was a hell of a lot more fun.
Calamari landed on November 7. It kicks off with Rat Child a nod to the Di’Anno and Clive Burr era of Iron Maiden. The EP tears through Backstabber, the football feud fueled Man U, the heavy leaning NIB.RIP. and wraps with Golden Sneakers. True to form they shout out their go to Alexandria haunt O’Shaughnessy’s keeping their community stitched right into the music.

Daily Grind arrives December 5 and digs into the everyday chaos of modern urban life. Destination sets the tone inspired by Mumbai’s shoulder to shoulder trains. Shit Rollin and Get Fucked dive straight into work culture burnout and the nonsense that comes with it. Celebrate flips the switch on fake office cheer. The closer Come To The Show fires up a rally for supporting live music hitting O’Shaughnessy’s with another well deserved salute.

Both EPs feature artwork by Aaron Miller of Miller Digital Art. Recording, mixing and mastering were handled by Pablo Cabrera at Analog Approach in Falls Church with vocals tracked by Farhad Zink Hossain at Zinkferd Studio in Woodbridge.
Independent and loud as ever Tentaclaus keeps fueling the DC and Northern Virginia punk circuit. With Calamari and Daily Grind they’re planting their flag right back in the center of the scene and daring anyone to ignore it.
Punk fans better buckle in. Tentaclaus is back and they’re not playing nice.
