KILLERWITCH, ST. UNHOLYNESS, POWERHOUSE, THORNDALE, WITCHER And TRAITOR Charge Into Legacy Magazine Alongside 1914

Metal Devastation PR is celebrating a serious milestone as six of its artists land features and reviews in the newest issue of Legacy Magazine, the same issue with 1914 dominating the cover. For independent and underground metal, this is the kind of spotlight that proves the scene is still pushing forward with power, grit, and no interest in playing it safe.

KILLERWITCH
Malta’s heavy and power metal thunder squad hit Legacy with their second album Palace Of The Dragons and walked away with a perfect ten point score. The magazine called it a thunderclap packed with huge melodies and a smokey atmosphere that shows the band finally taking off. Silent Angel and Metellica were singled out as prime examples of the band’s fire. Their interview digs deeper into the darker and more direct direction of the new material, with the seven minute epic The Alchemist standing tall. KILLERWITCH is now gearing up for a European tour in 2024.

ST. UNHOLYNESS
Christina Earlymorn’s one woman force of nature slammed Legacy with a twelve point review for her debut full length Through High Holy Haze. The album blends Doom, Stoner, Black Metal venom, HM 2 fury, and raw Blues soul into a hybrid that impressed Legacy for its detail and fearless execution. The interview explores Christina’s journey from Metallica inspired beginnings to the creation of a sound that is grim, groovy, personal, and fully her own. Every instrument. Every idea. Every scream. All hers.

POWERHOUSE
Sacramento thrash unit Powerhouse delivered American Rebel and Legacy responded with eleven points. Six tracks. Thirty three minutes. No wasted space. The review praises the massive riffs, pounding drums, and a psychedelic edge that gives their old school thrash roots a modern twist. Their interview opens up about the pandemic frustrations that shaped the record and the idea of standing strong with a lone wolf mentality. Influences like Iron Maiden, UFO, and Slayer help shape a sound that still feels fresh.

THORNDALE
Legacy sat down with Thorndale for a feature on their new album Spiritual Chains. With a refreshed lineup, the band shifted from the technical density of their older work to stronger melodies, simpler structures, and riffs built to last. The title track Twenty Thousand Souls anchors the theme of mental and spiritual chains. The band keeps a democratic approach to songwriting and is already working on the next album titled The Stalemate. Their sound honors the old ways while keeping an eye on the future.

WITCHER
Hungary’s melancholic black metal duo returned with their fourth album Lélekharang. Legacy describes the sound as bombastic, melodic, and rooted in classic black metal while painting the atmosphere with symphonic influence. Themes of sorrow and descent into a deeper world guide the music. The duo keeps everything DIY from instrumentation to vocals to production. Hungarian lyrics reinforce the atmosphere and carry the emotional weight of the concept.

TRAITOR
Rounding out the wins, TRAITOR was covered in Legacy’s feature celebrating twenty years of the Neuborn Open Air Festival in Wörrstadt. The festival has grown from a small gathering into a trusted stage for major underground talent. Legacy highlights the longtime relationship between TRAITOR and the festival, noting the band’s reliability, quality gear, and fierce performances. Their style pulls from speed, blackened aggression, and the classic black death sound of the nineties. TRAITOR stands out as a relentless and traditional force that always delivers.

A Strong Statement For The Underground
Landing multiple artists in a respected publication like Legacy is more than a bragging right. It shows the underground is stacked with talent, individuality, and the kind of dedication that keeps metal alive across borders and generations. Metal Devastation PR is proud to support bands that work hard, stay authentic, and refuse to water down their vision.
