Dessau, Germany — November 21, 2025 — German solo artist Chris Maragoth unveils his haunting new EP Depths of Despair , out now. The five-track release takes listeners on a journey through sorrow, reflection, and fragile beauty, blending Gothic and Symphonic Metal into a soundscape that is at once cinematic and deeply personal.

Featuring guest performances by Cherry Summerfield and Sanya Smileska, the EP expands Maragoth’s signature fusion of metal and classical instrumentation. From Sanya’s haunting viola on Hidden Signs of Sadness and Looming Evil to Cherry’s soaring vocals on the title track, each song explores the quiet pain beneath the surface and the catharsis that emerges from it.

The EP’s Baroque-inspired artwork mirrors the music’s emotional tone, depicting introspection, decay, and grace — a visual echo of the themes that thread through the record. Staying true to his creative ethos, Maragoth has crafted every note, arrangement, and visual entirely by human hands, consciously avoiding artificial intelligence in the process.

Two singles, History on Repeat (May 2025) and Hidden Signs of Sadness (October 2025), have already given fans a glimpse into the EP’s emotional core. Combined with three new compositions, Depths of Despair forms a cohesive narrative of loss, endurance, and fragile hope.
