Burnin’ Down the Rails: Brandon Barker of Rails To Roads Brings Southern Heat to The Zach Moonshine Show
Friday night got loud and rowdy when Brandon Barker , frontman of Rails To Roads , joined The Zach Moonshine Show for an all-out conversation about new beginnings, hard-hitting rock, and keeping the underground spirit alive.
“I’ve been doing good, dude — just keeping the music alive, bro,” Brandon said, kicking off the show with the kind of down-to-earth energy that’s made him a fixture in the scene.
Rails To Roads, the Georgia-based powerhouse, is Barker’s latest creation, a band blending heavy riffs and southern grit into something raw and unmistakably alive. The new EP has been turning heads, and during the chat, Brandon dove into what sparked the project and where he sees it going.
“I was ready for something new,” he explained. “Crazy Mad Ride might come back one day, but right now this is where my heart’s at — just straight-up rock and roll.”
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Moonshine interview without some good laughs and a few road stories. The two traded memories from Tennessee Metal Devastation Music Fest , talked about the grind of life on stage, and the drive that keeps musicians like Barker pushing forward in the underground.
