Belfast, Ireland – The relentless force of Survivalist is back and ready to tear through the modern metal scene once again with their blistering new single “Failure Of Being”, featuring their producer and longtime collaborator Josh Sid Robinson (JSR Audio). Dropping Friday, October 17th, 2025, this track delivers an explosive mix of ferocity, melody, and raw emotion — the latest taste from their highly anticipated upcoming album “A Place For Those Who Suffer, Alone…”

With their signature “Groovecore” sound — a lethal fusion of crushing breakdowns, melodic hooks, and massive riffs — Survivalist continues to carve their own path through the chaos. The band, comprised of Gavin Sharp (vocals), Nick Butcher (guitar), Lee Shaw (bass), and Rhys Fraser (drums), has built a name for themselves through sheer intensity, heartfelt lyricism, and an unstoppable DIY work ethic.

After making waves with their acclaimed 2021 debut “VII”, which pulled in over 100,000 streams and earned glowing reviews from outlets like Rock ‘N’ Load Magazine (10/10), Powerplay (8/10), and Evermetal (9/10), Survivalist have only grown stronger. Their emotionally charged single “Greater Negative” pushed boundaries, exploring themes of trauma and resilience while landing airplay on BBC Radio and even a Channel 5 prime-time interview with Gaby Roslin and Ortis Deley.

The band’s journey has seen them share stages with Chelsea Grin, Polaris, Suffocation, Atreyu, Kublai Khan, Distant, and more — proving time and again that they can hold their own alongside the heavyweights. With a tour alongside Thy Art Is Murder already in motion, Survivalist are showing no signs of slowing down.

Their most recent singles, “Deathbed” (ft. Alex Koehler of Chelsea Grin / Ameonna) and “Radio Bleed”, racked up over 10,000 streams each and have been featured across 50+ press outlets and radio stations worldwide. Now, “Failure Of Being” looks set to raise the stakes even higher — a cathartic, groove-laden storm that captures the emotional core of Survivalist’s evolving sound.
