South Ostrobothnia, Finland – Finnish progressive metal powerhouse Code Eternal are set to ignite the scene once again with their explosive new single, “Brace Yourself,” dropping Friday, October 10, 2025. The track offers the first glimpse of their long-awaited debut album , signaling a bold evolution in both sound and ambition.

Fronted by guitar prodigy Juho Ranta-Maunus —who stunned the world after winning Guitar World Magazine’s “Young Guitarist of the Year” at just 14 years old in 2020— Code Eternal have quickly carved out their place as one of Finland’s most promising new forces in metal. Formed in 2021, the band’s debut EP Sixth Wave (2022) made waves across the prog community. Now, three years later, they return sharper, heavier, and hungrier than ever.

“Brace Yourself” dives into a chilling concept: the rise of artificial intelligence as a self-defending entity, forcing humanity to confront the consequences of its own creation. Musically, the track is a high-voltage fusion of progressive metal precision, crushing riffs, and funk-driven grooves , laced with pulsating synth textures that inject a futuristic, cinematic edge.

“This track really shows where we’re heading as a band,” says Ranta-Maunus . “It’s heavy, complex, but also has a groove and energy that feels alive.”

Drawing influence from Dream Theater , Symphony X , and Jelusick , Code Eternal’s sound merges jaw-dropping technicality with the passion and swagger of modern metal.

Produced with top-tier precision, the single was mixed by Sami Silen (Sound Aces) and mastered by Acle Kahney (4D Sounds / Tesseract) , ensuring a world-class sonic punch.
