South Ostrobothnia, Finland – Progressive metal outfit Code Eternal are ready to ignite the scene once again with their explosive new single, “Brace Yourself,” arriving Friday, October 10, 2025 . The track marks the first taste of their long-awaited debut album , signaling a bold evolution in sound and ambition.

Fronted by guitarist prodigy Juho Ranta-Maunus , who stunned the world by winning Guitar World Magazine’s “Young Guitarist of the Year” at just 13 years old in 2020, Code Eternal have quickly built a reputation as one of Finland’s most promising metal acts. Formed in 2021, the band’s debut EP Sixth Wave (2022) turned heads across the prog community—and now, three years later, they’re back stronger, sharper, and more determined than ever.

“Brace Yourself” explores a chilling concept: the rise of artificial intelligence as a self-defending entity—questioning what happens when human creation turns against its maker. Musically, the track is a high-voltage fusion of progressive metal precision , crushing riffs , and funk-driven grooves , layered with pulsating synth textures that bring an urgent, futuristic edge.

“This track really shows where we’re heading as a band,” says Ranta-Maunus . “It’s heavy, complex, but also has a groove and energy that feels alive.”

With influences spanning Dream Theater , Symphony X , and Jelusick , Code Eternal’s sound blends jaw-dropping technical mastery with the soul and swagger of modern metal.
