ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE AS SOCIETY 1 CELEBRATES BOOK RELEASE AND ANNOUNCES SEQUEL TO #1 MOVIE

LOS ANGELES, CA – Chaos, debauchery, and unfiltered mayhem remain the calling card of Society 1 as the band continues to dominate the worlds of music, film, and literature. On August 22nd, Society 1 celebrated the release of their highly anticipated book, Everyone Dies: The Matt Zane Reckoning , and now the band has officially begun filming the sequel to their #1 movie, Everyone Dies (Rock Stars Don’t Count) .

Published by Heavy Music Artwork, Everyone Dies: The Matt Zane Reckoning is more than a memoir. Authored by Alex Milazzo, the book delivers a full-throttle journey into frontman Matt Zane’s extraordinary life, featuring stories with legends like Ozzy Osbourne and Lemmy Kilmister, encounters with James Gandolfini, and memories of the late Static-X frontman Wayne Static. From flesh-hook suspensions and psychedelic journeys to public protests and porn sets, the book is a raw, unfiltered glimpse into the chaos behind Society 1’s mythos.

“This book gives fans a taste of everything—from my poetry to my pictures and untold stories,” says Zane. “I’m excited more of the Society 1 story is finally being told.”

Society 1 Begin Filming Rise From The Dead

Following the book’s release, Society 1 has begun filming the follow-up to their hit documentary. Titled Rise From The Dead , the new half-documentary, half-concert film follows the band—Matt Zane, Jimmy Minj, Erik Kluiber, and new drummer Jon Asher—throughout 2025, capturing interviews and multiple performances from their comeback show at the world-famous Whisky A Go Go.

“The most asked question about the last movie was why there wasn’t more music, so for this one we’re focusing a lot on actual performances. There will still be a narrative aspect to it, but with live songs being performed throughout,” Zane explains.

The sequel also chronicles the unexpected aftermath of Everyone Dies , including the surprising challenges the band faced with tours and PR.

Production on Rise From The Dead is scheduled to wrap by January 2026, with a planned release early the same year. Fans can check out the teaser here:
