Allentown, PA – November 4, 2025 — Alternative metal outfit Sonny Dai are tearing off the mask again with their blistering new single and official visualizer “PONZI POP-ularity” —out now on all major streaming platforms and YouTube. Fueled by frustration and unflinching honesty, the track takes aim at exploitation, hypocrisy, and the false promises that prey on the vulnerable.

Hot on the heels of their darkly introspective single “CENTER(peace),” “PONZI POP-ularity” finds Sonny Dai at their rawest and most defiant. A snarling mix of heavy riffs, abrasive basslines, and punk-charged vocals drive home the band’s message of resistance against systems that use and discard people for profit or clout.

“This one’s about exploitation dressed up as community,” says frontman John. “People will sell you a dream, use you up, and then act like they saved you. This song is a big middle finger to that cycle. We wanted it to sound as ugly and visceral as the subject matter feels.”

Lyrically, the track doesn’t pull punches. Lines like “Sell us the dream that don’t exist / Steal our skies horizons from this” and “Alone is what I was before your sweet charity / I don’t need your f **ing cyanide sick family”* lay bare the band’s unfiltered rage at the predatory nature of fake support systems and exploitative industries.
