Los Angeles, CA — After decades of cult admiration and near-mythical status, industrial rock insurgents ENGINES OF AGGRESSION have officially returned with their incendiary new single “Start a War” — out now via Sonic 9 Records.
Blending the mechanized chaos of Rob Zombie , the adrenalized groove of Static-X , and the futuristic edge of Powerman 5000 , “Start a War” is a thunderous call to arms—fueled by rage, resilience, and unfinished business. Produced by Lamar Lowder , the track is a sonic firestorm capturing the band’s signature fusion of industrial grit, nu-metal ferocity, and hard rock swagger—all sharpened for a new era.
ENGINES OF AGGRESSION exploded out of the mid-‘90s Los Angeles scene, dominating the club circuit and headlining iconic venues like The Whisky a Go Go , where future legends like Korn and System of a Down once opened for them. With electrifying live shows and a genre-defying sound, frontman Tripp and crew became one of the most buzzed-about acts in the underground.
They shared stages with heavyweights like Danzig and Henry Rollins , and earned praise from major outlets like the L.A. Times . But just as breakout success loomed, a doomed record deal and internal tensions brought their momentum to a screeching halt—while their peers rocketed to superstardom.
Now, after decades of fan demand, underground buzz, and internet lore, ENGINES OF AGGRESSION are back and more dangerous than ever. Their recent Black EP —produced by Steve Duda ( NIN, Deadmau5 )—rekindled the flames, but “Start a War” is the full-on detonation.
