NOX PULSO Crowned Metal Devastation Radio’s Band of the Month with 70,296 Votes — New Single ‘Plague Town’ Drops Sept 5, Album ‘TWO’ Follows Oct 3 via Null Void Records

Industrial-electro disruptors NOX PULSO have officially seized the throne as Metal Devastation Radio’s Band of the Month for August 2025 , crushing the competition with a staggering 70,296 fan votes in last month’s Battle of the Bands. This landslide victory not only cements their status as one of the underground’s most explosive rising acts, but also sets the stage for a massive autumn rollout—starting with the release of new single ‘Plague Town’ on September 5 , followed by their sophomore album ‘TWO’ on October 3 , both via Null Void Records .

For fans of Rammstein , Nine Inch Nails , The Prodigy , and Combichrist , NOX PULSO delivers a brutal blend of industrial metal and electronic chaos that’s impossible to ignore. Their sound? “Heavy dance music,” they say—punishing rhythms, infectious hooks, and venomous dual vocals colliding in pure sonic warfare.

Formed in the shadow of the pandemic by electronic mastermind Matt McIvor (aka ItIAM of New Retro Wave fame) and industrial metal provocateur Duncan Williams (TotalRock Radio), NOX PULSO embodies conflict in the best way. “It’s almost impossible working with him,” McIvor admits of Williams. “So I end up managing the sound of a warzone between the two of us. That said, Plague Town is less of a fight, and more of a musical exorcism.”

Their 2023 debut Songs from the Wastelands earned them festival spots at Depravation , Resistanz , and Hard Rock Hell , alongside shows with Harpy , Aesthetic Perfection , and Raging Speedhorn . With their fanbase growing fast, the band is set to headline the inaugural Oblivion Festival in Glasgow on September 25 , just days before TWO drops.

Lisa Harris of Null Void Records adds,

“We’ve known both Matt and Duncan from previous releases, but the idea of them collaborating ? That was wild. When we heard what they were making, we immediately committed to a full album rollout with physical formats first—because their fans want something real, something they can hold. The debut sold out. We expect TWO will go even faster.”
