MRSA Unleashes Horror-Fueled Video “I Am the Swarm” – Premiering Now at Decibel Magazine

Lake Worth, FL – July 23, 2025 – Florida’s horror-obsessed death metal juggernaut MRSA has unleashed the world premiere of their brand new music video “I Am the Swarm” exclusively via Decibel Magazine . The video marks the first offering from the band’s long-awaited debut full-length Horrifier , set for release in late summer/early fall via CDN Records .

MRSA—featuring Dean Corpse (vocals) , Joe Dwyer (guitar) , Cory Bickford (guitar) , Johnny Honeycutt (bass) , and Brett Ackling (drums) —have been steeped in horror lore since forming in 2013. The band’s signature sound fuses guttural brutality with lyrical themes pulled straight from cult horror films and the darkest corners of the cinematic universe.

“I Am the Swarm” is a menacing tribute to Clive Barker’s classic story The Forbidden , the literary basis for the cult horror film Candyman . With razor-sharp riffing, pulverizing drums, and a grotesque visual narrative to match, MRSA delivers an unforgettable slab of blood-soaked death metal.
