Tonic Breed Unleashes New Single “Anew” Featuring Chris Adler (Lamb of God, Megadeth), Premiered by MetalSucks

Tonic Breed, the powerful metal project led by Norwegian multi-instrumentalist Patrik K. Svendsen , has just released a thunderous new single titled “Anew” , featuring the legendary Chris Adler , best known for his work with Lamb of God and Megadeth . The track is now streaming via YouTube!

The single was featured this week by MetalSucks , who hailed the collaboration as a merging of worlds:

“Today, two worlds have become one. Lamb of God’s longtime drummer, Chris Adler, has teamed up with Tonic Breed’s founder and multi-instrumentalist, Patrik K. Svendsen, for a brand-new single.”

“Anew” delivers a brutal dose of modern thrash metal and serves as a first glimpse into Tonic Breed’s upcoming full-length record. The album will include a powerhouse lineup of guest appearances from top-tier metal names such as Dirk Verbeuren ( Megadeth ), Björn Strid ( Soilwork ), and Michael Gilbert ( Flotsam and Jetsam ).

Speaking on the collaboration, Chris Adler shared:

“I was quite curious when I got an email — and some riffs — from Patrik. He’s done some cool shit and I was flattered to be on his radar… I researched it for a minute and agreed. We did have to take a minute to both feel good about what this would be — meaning I beat up his song like a fucking Rocky movie — but I knew it had the parts and strength. It’s been a privilege to work with Patrik. Humbling. You’ll know what I mean when you hear it.”

Patrik Svendsen adds:

“I originally sent over a rough demo of the song, a storm of riffs strung together with placeholder drums and a suggested structure. We worked together on a new structure for the song, and Chris took the lead on shaping it into something far more unique and effective than my original draft. To me, this is the most Lamb of God-style drumming I’ve heard from Chris since he was in Lamb of God.”

With a growing reputation for ferocious collaborations and a vision rooted deep in modern thrash and groove metal, Tonic Breed is a project to watch closely in 2025.
