Portland, OR The Generals , Portland’s high-octane rock juggernaut, are set to headline the 2025 Make Music Day Festival on June 21st in downtown Aberdeen, WA , as part of the global World Music Day celebration. They’ll take the spotlight on The Music Project’s Main Stage , joining a powerful lineup for what promises to be one of the largest music events in the region.

The Music Project is more than just a venue—it's a community-focused music lab, café, and radio station that also operates the legendary “Nirvana Unplugged” Museum . The Make Music Day Festival is a city-wide, all-day event drawing thousands, with support from artists like Krist Novoselic and his Bona Fide Band , Roger Fisher with the Human Tribe , and Angel Bouchet (of Portlandia ) and her blues band. Aberdeen is expected to break local records with the number of performances in a single day.

donna1205 Mentioning recognizable figures such as Krist Novoselic and Roger Fisher adds credibility and appeal, especially given Aberdeen’s strong Trees Hate You association with the legacy of Nirvana.

rossryle2000 This sounds like one of those festivals where the whole town turns into a giant live playlist for a day. I had a similar experience at a local music fest and ended up staying way longer than planned—kind of like getting hooked on a quick PolyTrack session and suddenly losing track of time. Is the “Nirvana Unplugged” Museum open during the festival too?
