Cult death metal legends Deteriorot have just re-released their seminal album In Ancient Beliefs with a long-overdue restoration and remaster. This new edition, titled In Ancient Beliefs (Dual Cover Art - Original 2001 and 2016 + 2025 Remastered) , is now available and marks the first time fans can hear the album in its true original audio form .

Upon its initial release in 2001, the album was mistakenly submitted by the engineer in a higher pitch, resulting in guitar tones presented in C tuning— a full step above the intended B tuning . This 2025 edition restores the original pitch and tonal brutality as Deteriorot always intended, giving longtime fans and new listeners the most authentic experience of this underground masterpiece to date.

Alongside the sonically restored and expertly remastered 2025 audio , this release also features a collector’s dream: dual cover art . For the first time since 2001, the original album artwork is available on CD, having been out of print for over two decades. The CD booklet also includes the 2016 updated cover art by the renowned Juanjo Castellano , both of which are interchangeable on the CD front cover.
