Scotland’s brutal death metal freaks Party Cannon have returned with an absurdly heavy new single and video, “High Tariff Behaviour” , out today (May 1st) via Unique Leader Records . Featuring the debut of new vocalist Daryl “The Frog Man” Boyce , the track is a ferocious statement that the Party Slam pioneers are back – and dumber than ever, in the best possible way.
Watch the gloriously unhinged video directed by Calum McMillan here:
In true Party Cannon fashion, the band isn't just releasing this digitally—they’ve also dropped a limited physical version on a fully playable SEGA Megadrive cartridge . Yes, you read that right. The cartridge works on original hardware and comes bundled with:
1x cartridge
1x artwork patch
1x signed photobooklet
1x artwork t-shirt (optional)

The band explains, “We're back, already, barely a year after our last album – this time in Megadrive format. IQs have been slowly recovering over the past couple of months so figured now was the time to drop a single with our new vocalist – Daryl 'The Frog Man' Boyce.”
True to form, Party Cannon isn’t softening up with a lineup change. Instead, they've gone full blastbeat berserker. The band doubles down on their signature Party Slam mayhem, churning out dense slams and neck-snapping riffs inspired by Inveracity and Waking the Cadaver .
“We didn't hire [Daryl] for his clean singing,” they joke. “No drywall will be left un-punched after that first slam kicks in. I highly recommend wearing a helmet on initial listen.”
The song’s title, “High Tariff Behaviour,” refers to a term used by social workers to describe chaotic activities like drinking, drug use, and fighting—not geopolitics. Just... unfortunate timing.
New frontman Daryl Boyce commented:
“I'm excited for everyone to hear the madness that is 'High Tariff Behaviour' — it's everything you'd expect from Party Cannon but with more stupidity. Be prepared for zero clean singing, zero weak riffs and zero tolerance for cowards. Nothing but hench riffs and blast beat supremacy.”
