Joe La Truite Announce Blazing New Single “Light Speed” – Out April 11, 2025

Marseille, France – French psychedelic punk metal trio Joe La Truite return with their second single, Light Speed , set for release on April 11, 2025 , across all streaming and video platforms. Following the band’s explosive debut single “Bad Death City,” which continues to receive widespread airplay and critical acclaim, “Light Speed” delivers the next chapter in the band’s high-octane journey.

“ Light Speed ” launches listeners straight into the cockpit with the character JLT (Joe) , in a sonic thrill ride driven by Julien Liphard (Guitar/Vocals) , Charles Roussel (Bass/Vocals) , and Martin Denquin (Drums) . Combining furious punk metal riffs, relentless drumming, and warped psychedelic textures, the track encapsulates the band’s signature sound while pushing the needle further into their universe of controlled chaos.

The song begins with an intricate blend of guitar, bass, and drums—but within seconds, Denquin stomps on the gas, hurtling the song into full throttle as Roussel and Liphard join the breakneck pursuit. It’s six feet on the accelerator, six hands on the wheel, and one mission: rescue JLT from himself. Featuring tongue-in-cheek lyrics inspired by video games and a fast-paced lifestyle, “Light Speed” offers a satirical, high-speed escape through sound.

Recorded, written, and produced at dBd Studios in the South of France, the song is part of the band’s forthcoming concept album, ULTIMATE NINJA STORM 2: FULL ZGUEN , due later in 2025. The 13-track record is a collaborative effort from all three members, continuing the trio’s evolution in both songwriting and sonic experimentation.

Released through Full Zguen Records and distributed via Music Gateway , “Light Speed” is a testament to Joe La Truite’s unique blend of raw energy and genre-bending artistry.
