LOCKJAW Unleashes New Single and Video “The Monster Inside” – Kicks Off Texas Tour This April

Fort Worth, TX – Texas metal titans LOCKJAW are set to ignite 2025 once again with their explosive new single, “The Monster Inside,” dropping April 16 across all major streaming platforms—complete with a powerful new music video. The single marks a fierce continuation of their musical onslaught, delivering intense emotion, unrelenting riffs, and a raw message for the broken and battered.

But that’s not all—the band kicks off “The Monster Inside Texas Tour” starting April 11 in San Antonio, with support from Overt Enemy (McAllen, TX) on select dates.

A New Metal Anthem for the Broken

With “The Monster Inside,” LOCKJAW delivers more than just a song—it’s an anthem for anyone who has ever felt their inner rage clawing to break free. Equal parts cathartic and chaotic, it stands as a testament to the band’s uncompromising sound and emotional vulnerability.

Guitarist Jeff Ogle shares:

“We are really proud of this one. It was kind of an accidental riff and idea, but sometimes those are the best ones. I wanted to branch out a little, so I worked with Chris Mora (Upon a Burning Body, Kim Dracula), mainly on arrangements. Once we had a version we liked, I handed it off to our producer Chris Collier (Korn, Vended), who added a few more contributions to make it what it is today.

The lyrics are heavy—our singer Joe had the idea of writing about a character reaching that boiling point in life and letting his inner rage come out. It’s almost like a warning: now you’ve pushed me to the limit and you’re gonna get what you asked for. FAFO! Hope everyone digs the song, and thanks for listening!”
