Crymwav: A Fresh Sound Rooted in Rock History

Founded in 2022 by Roger Deering (guitarist and songwriter of Smash Fashion ), Lloyd Stuart Casson (lead guitarist, also of Smash Fashion), Greg Rogers (drums, Goatsnake, ex-Obsessed), and Bruce Braddock (bass guitar), Crymwav blends their shared influences into a deeply rooted and dynamic sound. From Hawkwind and The Clash to Killing Joke , Thin Lizzy , and UFO , the band's music weaves dark, energetic riffs with melodic hooks that hit hard and stay with you.

Deering shares his perspective:
"Crymwav started to come together for me while I was staying in London about three years ago. Smash Fashion was at a standstill, and I was writing darker, heavier material. I wanted to channel the energy of bands from that area—Hawkwind, Motörhead, and The Clash. When I came back to LA, everything clicked, and the band came to life."

Previous Success – "24/7" EP & "Contagious" Single

In November 2023 , Crymwav released their critically acclaimed 6-song EP, 24/7 , which showcased the band's versatile and powerful sound. The EP received rave reviews and international airplay , with Guitar World Magazine calling it:
"Channeling the furious fire of Motörhead and UFO , cut through with the melodic sensibilities of Cheap Trick . Every track sounds like an instant stadium-filling anthem."

The band continued their success with the November 2024 single , “Contagious” , which garnered worldwide radio airplay and quickly became a fan favorite. Its dark yet infectious hooks solidified Crymwav’s place in the hard rock scene as a band to watch.
