Shiprock, NM (Navajo Nation) – February 28, 2025 – Rising metal powerhouse Under Exile is set to unleash their highly anticipated new single, The Lament , on February 28, 2025 . Known for their crushing riffs, intense breakdowns, and relentless energy, Under Exile continues to carve their name into the modern metal scene with a sound that blends precision, aggression, and raw emotion.

Hailing from Shiprock, NM, on the Navajo Nation , the five-piece formed in 2015 as a group of young musicians determined to bring their unique perspective and crushing sound to the forefront. Over the years, they have shared the stage with Fear Factory, In Flames, All That Remains, Bad Omens, Slaughter to Prevail, Suicide Silence, Whitechapel, Carnifex, Winds of Plague, Attila, Superjoint Ritual, Gideon, Oceano, Alien Weaponry, Soulfly, and more.

After a brief hiatus from 2019-2022, Under Exile returned with their original core lineup :

Ryland Benally – Guitar
Rumeel Jim – Guitar
Wyatt Billie – Drums
Franklin Yazzie – Vocals
Trevor Martin – Bass (joined in 2023)

The band worked with Billboard-charting producer Erik Jensen (Escape the Fate) to craft The Lament , an album that showcases their most refined and punishing work to date.
