The track, described as a progressive metal anthem, encapsulates SACROSANCT's hallmark melancholic mood while remaining accessible and emotionally evocative. SACROSANCT’s Evolution and Legacy
Formed in 1988 by guitarist Randy Meinhard (formerly of Pestilence), SACROSANCT carved their place in metal history with a trilogy of early ’90s classics: Truth is – What Is, Recesses for the Depraved, and Tragic Intense. Known for their progression from thrash metal to a more melodic and atmospheric sound, SACROSANCT’s influence has remained strong despite a 25-year hiatus.
Their return in 2018 with Necropolis reaffirmed their ability to blend melancholic harmonies, technical prowess, and thought-provoking lyrics. Now, with Kidron, SACROSANCT continues to evolve, introducing new vocalist Max Morton, whose dynamic and unique voice breathes fresh energy into their music.
“Kidron combines all our trademarks,” comments Randy Meinhard. “It has a unique atmosphere shaped by the challenges we’ve faced, and it’s both accessible and complex.”
