Originally scheduled to perform later in the day, Quiescent Mantis stepped up and hit the stage earlier than planned due to the last-minute withdrawal of Killcrown from Michigan. With only 48 hours' notice, Killcrown's leader, Steve Maple (also known for running Michigan Metal Fest), messaged fest organizers, citing issues with their drummer not being able to make the show, along with insufficient gas and help to make the trip. Unable to find a replacement in time, Quiescent Mantis took over their slot and delivered a relentless set that quickly ignited a mosh pit, keeping the energy soaring throughout.

Despite the schedule shift, Quiescent Mantis showcased why they are a standout force in the metal scene, and the crowd responded with a frenzy of headbanging and moshing. This video is a must-watch for anyone looking to relive the experience or for those who missed it!
Tennessee Metal Devastation Music Fest 2024: A Record-Breaking Event

The 2024 edition of Tennessee Metal Devastation Music Fest was nothing short of a triumph. With nearly 3,000 attendees packing the AMP at Jackson, the festival shattered previous attendance records. Fans braved the unseasonably hot weather, with temperatures reaching close to 100 degrees, to witness a full day of high-energy performances from bands across the country.

The festival lineup featured a diverse selection of metal acts, including Soma Irot, Sun Mantra, EMBR, The Red Mountain, Arsenic Addiction, and headliners Autumn Lies Buried. Despite the heat and changes in the lineup, every band delivered an electrifying show, creating unforgettable moments for the passionate crowd.

Festival organizers Zach Moonshine and Raven Moonla expressed their gratitude and pride in the event's success, thanking everyone involved for making the day a monumental one for the underground metal scene.

"We had an insane turnout, sold out of wristbands before dark, and every band brought their best to the stage," said Moonshine. "Quiescent Mantis jumping in earlier due to Killcrown's last-minute dropout just goes to show the camaraderie in the metal community. It was one hell of a performance!"
