Texas-based Christian metal titans Shining Force are set to release their highly anticipated fourth full-length album, Spiritual Warfare, on August 30th, 2024, via Roxx Records. Known for their fierce ministry and relentless outreach, Shining Force is ready to storm the gates of hell with this electrifying new release.

Shining Force was formed in 1995 after a divine vision inspired band leader Billy Vaughn to create music that would reach the hearts of those in need, particularly in the poverty-stricken areas of Houston, Texas. Since their inception, the band has been a driving force in the Christian metal scene, blending powerful ministry with heavy, hard-hitting music. Their mission, inspired by Matthew 5:16, is clear: “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in Heaven.”

Over nearly three decades, Shining Force has played hundreds of events, reaching thousands with their message of hope and redemption. Their debut album, Holy Nation, set the stage for a series of well-received releases, including their self-titled album Shining Force and the heavy-hitting By the Blood. Throughout their journey, the band has remained steadfast in their mission, even in the face of severe trials, including Billy Vaughn's battle with a life-threatening illness that led to a liver transplant.

Spiritual Warfare is the culmination of years of experience, faith, and musical evolution. Featuring a mix of classic and modern metal elements, the album is a testament to Shining Force’s resilience and dedication to their craft. The current lineup—Billy Vaughn, Abel Molano, Chris Tooke, Ernie Lopez, and Arnold Cantu—has crafted an album that stands tall in the pantheon of Christian metal, blending crunchy hooks, soaring leads, and a thunderous double bass attack that will appeal to fans of Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin, Stryper, and Iced Earth.

The album also features a special guest appearance by Tim 'Ripper' Owens, formerly of Judas Priest, on the track “Angel of Light,” adding an extra layer of intensity to an already powerful release.
