Explore Deadly Carnage's newest album, 'Endless Blue', for a unique musical journey.

"Endless Blue" is a concept album by Deadly Carnage, merging post-black and doom metal genres. Drawing inspiration from Japanese folklore and the mystery of the ocean depths, the album explores themes of spirits, ghosts, and demons (Yokai, Yurei, and Oni). Influenced by the visual art of Ukiyo-e from the 19th-century Edo period, the album's aesthetic mirrors masterpieces like "Takiyasha the Witch and the Skeleton Specter" and "The Great Wave off Kanagawa." The album narrates a journey akin to the legend of Urashima Tarō, through eight chapters that delve into the legends and symbolism of various entities from Japanese folklore. "Endless Blue" is crafted to exhibit a crepuscular sound, balancing between light and shadow, the ocean surface, and the abyss, where each song acts as a chapter in a singular narrative. Special elements include the use of ethnic instruments such as the Bouzouki, Lute, Mandolin, and Erhu, and the track "Mononoke" sung in Japanese.
