It was awesome to work with legends like producer Jason Suecof (The Black Dahlia Murder, Carnifex, Deicide, Job For A Cowboy) and have Christian Donaldson (Cryptopsy) doing the mastering as well as being joined on tracks by our friends Scott Ian Lewis (Carnifex) and Ricky Myers (Suffocation)." says vocalist Keith Wampler.
Featuring 11 tracks of relentless brutality, each song is its own short horror story. For this record, The Convalescence really wanted to continue down the path of what they've done on past releases "This Is Hell" and "Monument Of Misery" but also experiment with some new ideas while still bringing everyone the gore-filled lyrics and bloodthirsty riffs that their fans expect. About: The Convalescence is a five-member symphonic deathcore band formed in Toledo, OH in early 2011. The Convalescence blends black metal/horror theatrics with intense death metal style blast beats and shredding guitar along with brutal slamming breakdowns and catchy melodies. The band tours nearly non-stop racking up nearly 1,000 live performances across fifteen countries.
The Convalescence has released four full-length albums, two EPs, and two stand-alone singles resulting in over one million plays on Spotify and Youtube each. The band also released two documentaries via Amazon Prime Video in 2020 supported by a sold-out movie theatre screening of them both in Maumee, OH on October 30, 2020. The band recently finished recording their fifth full-length album with producer Jason Suecof at Audiohammer Studios with a projected release in 2023.
