Band name and album title: Redsphere with Immortalized

Genre: Death/Thrash Metal

Release date and label: They released the album on June 12, 2023 via Malmorta Records.

Other releases from the band: This is their second full-length release, before that they released two singles and EP's onto the world.

How I met the band: I met the band on June 17, 2023 at Cafe Central in Weinheim . I already wrote about that. Unfortunately, I missed writing about the CDs I bought there at the time, which is why I'm doing it now that Metal Devastation Radio has sent me the songs again digitally.

What do I think of the record: Just damn awesome, if I want to keep it short. But I don't want to. There's really good death metal here, seasoned with a pinch of thrash. The singing, even if it's pretty brutal, is really easy to understand while the others are playing their asses off on their instruments. Again and again there are samples or a few quieter sounds, only to overwhelm the listener with the best of death.

With EYES OF THE BEHOLDER they added a synth for an epic effect, supporting the rolling lead of death here and there. The track would really have what it takes for a best of the year list if I did something like that. Slow, rolling and heavy as fuck, but also brutal and with the right amount of hardness.

There's a little more banging in 2 MINUTES OF HATE, even if no speed records are set here. It's just a strong, driving song with a great groove that should be on every future death metal playlist.

Conclusion: It's a real shame that I missed discussing the album directly after the concert, but this makes up for it. And finally a band that I knew before Metal Devastation Radio sent me their music. So if you haven't gotten it up to this point, get the CD, damn it, and listen to this until then: fullmetalmayhem
