Dyspläcer - Temple Heights - Reviewed By metalcrypt ! Check it out here at this link: http://www.metalcrypt.com/pages/review.php?revid=14494
Dyspläcer, formed in 2019, are a traditional metal band that blends the sounds of the NWOBHM, notably Iron Maiden with a dash of Tokyo Blade, and Japanese fantasy/lore into their rollicking debut album, Temple Heights. Galloping bass lines, twin leads and harmonies, soaring vocals, et al. are strewn throughout the album. "Bloodsport" makes you feel the most like you are listening to Maiden circa Live After Death with its "whoa-ohh-ohh-ohh" vocals, whereas "Forgotten Victories" is less anthemic and has a bit of a hard rock streak like Tokyo Blade's debut. Dyspläcer doesn't seem concerned with recreating the wheel or doing anything other than pounding out some great riffs and inviting us all to bang our heads. Temple Heights is metal from a simpler time and is a reminder of why this kind of music doesn't have to be complicated to kick ass. metalcrypt
