SEBASTIAN BACH: 'There's Exciting Things Happening For Me On The Record-Label Front'

Former SKID ROW singer Sebastian Bach spoke to Idaho's 94.9 & 104.5 The Rock radio station about the progress of the songwriting sessions for the follow-up to his 2014 solo album, "Give 'Em Hell" .

"There's exciting things happening for me on the record-label front," he said. "I can't say exactly what it is yet, but there's great things happening for me. But once I announce what that is, we'll be closer to putting an actual album out.

"Right now I'm doing demos, and I have songs from guitar players that I've worked with," he continued. "Like the last three records, I've had John 5 [ ROB ZOMBIE , MARILYN MANSON ] play on my records and write some tunes, and he's got a couple of [tracks] on this new [album] that I'm working on. And also Steve Stevens from the BILLY IDOL band — we did three songs on the last record, and he's got one crazy, really cool song on the new one.

"So I'm just working on getting song ideas together," he added. "And my manager has got me a great situation looking like it's gonna happen that I'll be able to announce very, very soon. That's all I can tell you."

Last month, Bach told Meltdown of Detroit's WRIF 101.1 FM radio station that he was about to sign a deal with a U.S.-based heavy metal record label that would help him make a "career-defining" new solo album.

Bach hasn't released a full-length disc since "Give 'Em Hell" , which was criticized by some for sounding "too modern" and a departure from his '80s hard rock past. Like its predecessor, 2011's "Kicking & Screaming" , the disc was released through Frontiers Music Srl , the Italian label which specializes in what's commonly called AOR, a term that once signified a popular radio format ("album-oriented rock") but nowadays applies to acts whose airplay is marginal.

Bach recently had a drum recording studio built on his property in Southern California for the purpose of demoing music for his next studio album.

Sebastian 's autobiography, "18 And Life On Skid Row" , came out in December 2016 via Dey Street Books (formerly It Books ), an imprint of HarperCollins Publishers .
