Outside of his ongoing and current legal battles, it has been a long time since we have heard from
Marilyn Manson . The last record the shock-rocker released was 2020’s
We Are Chaos – however, per a new Instagram post of his, Manson appears to be teasing the release of new music.
This post involves a couple of new photos of Manson. The photos themselves do not provide too much detail – Manson sits in a dark room, is holding a microphone, and there is some sort of creepy face in the background.
In the caption associated with these photos though, the shock-rocker shares the following:
“I’ve got something for you to hear.”
While the comment is vague, there is a chance that Manson is likely alluding to the release of brand-new music.
Historically speaking, there has tended to be two to three years between when Manson releases an album; the one exception to this is the four years between The Golden Age of Grotesque and Eat Me, Drink Me . So, if that timeframe is an indication of anything, then one could assume that Manson might be preparing the release of a new song, or even an album – given that it has been three years since the release of We Are Chaos .
In other news related to Marilyn Manson, a judge recently threw out some key claims in his defamation lawsuit against actor Evan Rachel Wood.
Back in 2022, Manson filed a
lawsuit against Wood for defamation , claiming she made up allegations that he sexually abused her during their relationship. In 2021,
Wood named Manson as her abuser , claiming “he started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years.”
