Titans Wrath is a band out of California and Will of the Beast is their second independently released EP. They play pugilistic epic metal with a fair amount of speed and some snappy guitar work. There's a thrashy quality to some of the riffing, but not so much that I'd call anything on here "thrash," but the songwriting is very direct and in-your-face, in a good way. Will of the Beast sounds good despite being an independent release with a nice, full sound and all the instruments given enough room to shine through, but there are a few issues. The song "Changes" has a somewhat telling title as the tempo moves around quite a bit, speeding up here, slowing down there. If this is intentional, it is an ill-advised effort as the song flow is hampered rather noticeably by the clumsy changes and, if not, it is something the band will need to address for their next effort. The main issue I have is with the vocals. The singer has a strong, gravelly voice and is in tune throughout, so a seemingly perfect fit for what Titans Wrath is doing. However his vocal lines are not great and he cuts across the melody like an unsharpened scythe through a wheat field in several spots. Having a big, booming voice is great, but simply muscling ill-fitting vocal lines into songs is not a recipe for success. Overall, I'd say I like what Titans Wrath is doing on Will of the Beast and, since the issues I have with the performances are addressable, I'll be watching this band closely in the future. Fans of early Omen, Jag Panzer, Eternal Champion, etc. may want to do the same. metalcrypt

FFO:  Judas Priest, King Diamond, Iron Maiden

Location: San Bernardino, CA

Short Bio: Titan’s Wrath considers itself to be a Traditional Heavy Metal Band, but also pulls influences from various other metal subgenres to create a unique sound that fans of newer and older metal music can appreciate. With vocals on pair with Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford, and King Diamond, melodic guitar riffs, and fast double bass, Titan’s Wrath looks to redefine heavy metal all while celebrating the various influences that molded the band together.

Titan’s Wrath was formed at the end of 2019 originally under the name Leviathan. After playing a couple shows in the beginning of 2020, Leviathan looked to record their first demo only for the pandemic to derail their recording plans. After a couple of months of quarantine, Leviathan regrouped and decided to change the band’s name to Titan’s Wrath and went through some lineup changes. The lineup as of today consists of Garret (vocals), Tito (guitar), Riley (guitar), Dennis (bass) (ex-Heretic, ex-Reverend), and Angel (drums)

In September of 2020, Titan’s Wrath recorded a demo that  would be followed up by the band’s first EP titled “Into the Abyss”, which was released in April of 2021. Since then, Titan’s Wrath has played all over Southern California and has been featured in metal magazines and radio shows across the world.

Titan’s Wrath finished recording their second EP, “Will of the Beast”, and released it on December 9, 2022 on all major streaming platforms.
