Other band releases: This is the second album they have released. Before that, three EP's were released.

How did I get to know the band: Again something came from Metal Devastation Radio. This time I wasn't sure how the disc is. Black Death can be really good, or not. So with anything in the genre, I'm curious as to which side the coin falls on. That's what we're listening to right now:

What do I think of the disc: Instead of really mixing both genres, they probably decided to put Black and Death Metal songs together on one album. You can do it, and maybe it would have been something, but the eight songs all seem rather mediocre to me, not to say half-hearted.

A song like TO DEPRAVITY I SUCCUMB doesn't help either. The track is quite decent. Mid-Tempo-Death, overly long but definitely audible. Towards the end we are treated to a piano that gives the whole thing a special touch, but although this is the best song on the album it remains average.

Conclusion: Unfortunately, nothing half and nothing whole. Neither the songs are captivating on their own, nor is the album as a whole. I can't make any recommendations here, but if you still want to listen, you can do so here: fullmetalmayhem
