How did I meet the band: Metal Devastation Radio again. This time the story why I am reviewing the album is very short: Black Metal from China. You rarely get to hear it, so bring it on.
What do I think of the disc? It's a bit unusual, the album only consists of one 50-minute song. Although it is divided into different sections, it is and remains one song. In principle, there is everything here that one expects from Black Metal: slow, partly epic, partly melancholic passages, then again frantic pounding, in between also almost Pagan/Folk Black Metal-like passages. Add to that tortured screams and we have a negative for Abruptum and their album Oscuritatem Advoco Amplectère Me.
Conclusion: Not bad so far, but this album/song is definitely something to listen to in one go. There isn't much else left. So, if you can deal with something like this, you should really take a look here: - fullmetalmayhem
