“Morphogenetic Fractal Hologram” is the fifth album by Fugit, a one-person band that was completely unaware of its existence. So after bathing in the band's past albums and knowing a little more about their music, I see that within many descriptions they placed it as post black metal. But after many hours listening to their new production, I note that this has little black metal, and is even more of a global metal matrix that has no particular inclination. So, what will we find on this record?... Well, let's see.

The small distances that exist within pop and shoegaze in the metal world is something that is getting shorter every time in many productions, and proof of this is Fugit's “Morphogenetic Fractal Hologram”. Band that mixes the metal side with the shoegaze and pop of many artists from the past, and sometimes uses blacker rhythms in the style of Enslaved or post metal from bands like Ved Buens Ende. Having as a result something interesting on his hands, and the same musician who is moving further and further away from metal, and focuses on highlighting other musical details, but within this theme, I can say that since everything starts with "White Limbo" and ends with “Out Of Sync With The World”. Everything is calm, calm and there is no such feeling of Black Metal in the whole album, because Fugit has a more global perspective of the metal concept and uses it as a resource in his music.

Fugit's “Morphogenetic Fractal Hologram” is a bit tiring album to listen to during the 47 minutes, but at the same time it feels like this musician wants to get away from the metal world and have a different matrix in his music. Interesting in some ways, but there are moments that should not be prolonged, because it fails to fully detach the disc within its inclination. - metallerium
