Seventh studio album by this band, in whose description they are labeled as industrial and noise ...maybe it has been like that in the past, which I don't know much about, but focusing only on this new release, the style is evidently raw black metal . TOMB are: Joesph Curwen , No One on vocals and samples, B. Zimimay on keyboards, Samantha on viola and guitars, and Tyler Butkovsky on guitar. And although at the beginning you hear sounds that could be related to the industrial and something similar, the truth is that the rest of the time is black metal , raw, dirty, which seems recorded with an old reporter tape recorder in a garage . And in fact the music is like the production, simple and rustic, standing out some interesting riffs like the one in "In The Ugly Dark" , which resembles the Scandinavian side of the genre. Another outstanding one is "Wraiths" in which that cold black metal is felt with the plus of a dirtier and more infernal sound. In this way, it is not an album that does not offer anything or more of the same, since the performance of the voice is key to giving that touch of quality and more atmosphere to that primitive way of making metal. Not in vain this band has a considerable discography behind it, the types have their formula, and despite being rustic and intentionally poorly produced, they offer what any follower of the genre loves. - metallerium

"Terror Winds", the latest album from T.O.M.B. is the storming follow-up to "The Thin Veil", which was released in 2020 on Dark Essence Records. "Terror Winds" sees T.O.M.B. return to their graveyard roots with six tracks that reek with the stench of old, raw, blasphemous black metal, infested with a spellbinding symphonic ambience, and necromantic noise soundscapes.
Terror Winds serves as an epic progression for the band - and promises to indulge the listener with an album that is authentic in its dangerous feel of early 90s black metal, while entrancing the senses with a powerful wave of ambient keyboards and classic cryptic T.O.M.B. noise.
The album was recorded live at the Ossuary Studios in New York City, and mastered by Tore Stjerna at Necromorbus Studios in Sweden.
Over the course of the band’s 20+ years of history, T.O.M.B. has continuously crossed the boundaries of extreme music by crafting together elements of dark ambient, doom, death industrial and power electronics into a unique style of terrifying black metal noise. It is a style that has earned the band a well-deserved place as one of the top innovators of modern-day Black Metal.
