What METASTASYS DC offer us on "Cicatrices" is simply uncompromising neck-breaking Metal, which is played so well and with their album they totally smash everything that stands in their way. Starting with the really fat sound, through the filigree riffs to the powerful vocals and the good songwriting: the overall product is right. The opener "Nemesys" impressively sets the direction. Songs like "Sistema Depresivo" or "Impotencia" wreak havoc on the listener with their crisp, brutal riffs. The same applies to the rhythm section, which only marginally takes its foot off the gas pedal and only allows the listener time to breathe through the accented breaks. The mid-tempo parts that are interspersed again and again provide dynamics within the songs, but not a breather for the battered neck muscles. Crazy tempo and a main riff so strong that you want to frame it dominate. After the brisk start, the clean string plucking at the start of "Grito de Salvación" automatically seems like the calm before the storm. The next point would be the musicians, who are all masters of their instrument and thus do not allow any criticism of the realization of the music. Another plus is the absolutely thick production, which puts down a wall of sound in front of the listener that he cannot penetrate. The finale is then "Codigos" and the brutal "Social Metastasys", which round off the album completely.

They are now bringing their overflow of adrenaline and mastery of the stage to a debut record that will conquer new audiences worldwide.

Vocalist Robin Fajardo says: ‘Cicatrices (Scars) is a conceptual album in my opinion. A summarized conglomerate of ten years of work and a load of externalized feelings in the music. Designed so that, in its eight songs, the listeners know the band, identify with our realities, understand the feelings of our people (in Cuba), and above all find refuge in our music. There's a phrase someone said somewhere that we've always made our own way: if questioning, if unmasking what's wrong, if saying something is too dangerous, then make it music. So yes, this album is a statement because we all carry those scars.’
