Short Bio: Shroud of Despondency has been a musical entity for over 20 years and has never released the same album. Air of Abrasion finds Shroud of Despondency mainmen Rory Heikkila and Ron Blemberg teaming up with drummer and producer extraordinaire Dan Klein(Iron Hand Audio, Gravelust, ex Fin) and bassist Kyle Heikkila to release what is simultaneously one of the most progressive and one of the most black metal releases in the entire Shroud of Despondency catalogue. Over two years in the making, and the first Shroud of Despondency album to have a real drummer since 2014, Air of Abrasion is centered around the idea of bodily decay and the natural decline in quality of life that every human being faces.
