Vidres a la Sang is an extreme metal band originated in Terrassa (Catalonia). The act has been active for 20 years as of 2022, gaining recognition and a cult following as one of the most recognized and pioneering bands of its genre within the Spanish State.
Now, on July 1st,
Vidres a la Sang will release its fifth album, titled
Fragments de l’esdevenir , through the veteran and newly resurrected label
Abstract Emotions following their 2018 release
Set de Sang , a unanimously highly acclaimed release by both press and public that meant a return to their activity as a band after a 10-year-long hiatus.
After this period of idleness, Eloi Boucherie - also known from White Stones,
Vidres a la Sang 's mastermind as well as guitarist, vocalist, and producer - decides to rebuild the path of the band during the last two years of pandemic to compose new material comprised of five new songs: five new fragments of the future through the prism of near present, reflection, introspection, complaint, and abhorrence of a society in ever-flowing decadence but also as a homage to the poetry and life chants of the immortal Catalan author Miquel Martí i Pol.
Fragments de l’esdevenir features an exceptional collaboration by Martin Mendez, of Opeth fame, who tracked bass guitar for the album in replacement for the absence of Marcos Garcia, the original member of the band. The recording and official lineup is thus completed by Albert Marti (Foscor, Jade) on lead guitars and Jordi Farre (DOLCH, Rumours, Crippled Black Phoenix, Foscor) on drums.
