Power metal in its most genuine aspect is what swedish guitarist Klas Holmgren claims to offer with his solo project Krilloan.
From the initial "Into the storm" they show their intentions very clearly. The self-imposed label and its pretensions immediately lead us to the bands we might think of. Stratovarius, Helloween, Sonata Arctica, Running Wild, and the list goes on, so realize the treasure we have here.
And it is that Krilloan frankly does not seem to have only been formed for two years. The band is imbued with a classic aftertaste, for example goes "Fireborn" that could have been included in either of the two "Keepers" and nobody would have said anything.
Personally I think that the EP is meritorious, but it would gain a lot with a greater presence of catchy refrains, which they know how to do, but exhibit with droppers. And if you don't listen to "Times Forgotten."
Alex VanTrue does not seem to be a privileged throat, but it is used throughout the album quite successfully, and it is undoubtedly one of the points in favor of the band, since it shows a more than acceptable vocal range.
Krilloan come from a country with great tradition and competitiveness, and unfortunately they can not rival so many mythical bands that made power at the time one of the styles with more followers of metal. But if this "Stories of times forgotten" reaches your hands it will make you have a pleasant time. - Rocka Rolla

Krilloan started out in 2020 as a solo project by Klas Holmgren. The vision was to write songs in the same spirit as the melodic power metal-, and heavy metal bands of the late nineties-early 2000: s. High speed, soaring guitar solos, thundering drums and no keyboard solos! Based around composer and guitarist, Klas Holmgren from Sweden, Krilloan quickly grew into something larger than it was meant to be. One year later, the project now features members from all over the world with Klas and long-time friend Steve Brockmann as the core.  The project revolves around classic metal themes with fantasy lyrics and the debut EP, Stories Of Times Forgotten was released on May 21. In late 2020 Krilloan joined forces with Stormwarrior main man Lars Ramcke and Piet Sielck of Iron Savior who agreed to mix and master the album, Krilloan managed to get the sound they were looking for. When Felipe Machado Franco agreed to paint the cover art, they had all the pieces of the puzzle to bring the vision to life. The single “Fireborn” was released a month earlier and has been played on metal radio stations all over the world. The EP has been well received and there have been positive reviews from the international metal press. Locally in Sweden, Krilloan has done several interviews and there has been a lot of press coverage.
