Today marks the 30th anniversary of The Decline of Western Civilization Part II: The Metal Years!! Directed by Penelope Spheeris, the film documents the rampant debauchery that permeated the L.A. metal scene between 1986 and 1988. It features a number of interviews from bands such as Aerosmith, Motorhead, Faster Pussycat, KISS, WASP, London, Alice Cooper, Poison, and Megadeth, the most notable of which depicts Chris Holmes consuming an entire bottle of vodka while being interviewed in his swimming pool (he later admitted that it was actually water). And if you look closely at the movie cover, you'll notice that Dave Mustaine is wearing a t-shirt with the logo from your favorite rock magazine!Via Rip Magazine
