A band like this perhaps would have deserved other successes and who knows what would have happened if they had formed at the dawn of the 80s: the reference to NWOBHM is even obvious and obvious, but with this technique shown if they had recorded their first demo in that era, well surely something would have changed. But you know with the ifs and buts you don't win championships and so we try to stay in our time avoiding letting go of past memories.
After the musical intro, the CD opens with a piece that in its initial part is very reminiscent of Hughes, and then moves on to a mid-tempo of Meidenian mold that manages to best honor the vocal timbre of Armanini.
Much more modern and pulled the second track "Blood And Soul" almost close to certain atmospheres mentioned in ancient times by Araya and partners. The experience accumulated during these twenty years of life of the combo, has allowed Septem to always introduce a pinch of inventiveness to the songs. In fact, you can fully perceive in the drafting of the tracks, the extreme mastery of their means, mastery that can be observed during one of the many concerts that the band has held in the most disparate places. It should be remembered here that the quintet has opened, among others, to bands of the caliber of Sabotage, Voivod, Sadist. It takes liver but also careful preparation of the technique to hold the stage in front of the shock wave waiting for so much historical musical presence to follow.
The CD certainly, to be honest, does not bring that magically changing quid to the already robust production on the genre played, but it is very enjoyable, played well with parentheses of a typically octantian epic ("Sa Femmina Accabadora"), where the guitars of Riggio and Montaperto trace delicious melodic lines as if to exchange opinions on the current harmony.
The title track remains the darkest, darkest and, musically speaking, the heaviest moment of the whole lot: a mix between Overkill and Vicious Rumors that between emerging excellently and in an overbearing way the massive rhythm section of Albericci and Gigli (respectively bass and drums).
Also noteworthy is "Call Of Love" song that manages alone to give ample breath to all the other compositions. A classic ballad played between clean and distorted that manages, with its own dynamics, to be neither trivial nor predictable and that once again highlights the singing qualities of Armanini. Of absolute taste the solos that appear precise and clean not demanding too much space and thus avoiding being extremely redundant.
Perhaps this "Pseudonica" is a CD aimed at nostalgic for certain sounds, but it can also be heard by the youngest. - Redazione Italia di Metallo

After the release of the first promo in 2011, the first album in 2013 and the second one in 2016, SEPTEM decided to shut themselves in the studio to collaborate on their third album called PSEUDONICA. This album is a strong blend of melodies reminiscent of British Heavy Metal combined with modern, intensely accelerated rhythms. The fruits of their labor make an album that is polished yet fierce with hard-hitting songs balanced with catchy melodies which amalgamate perfectly with growls and venom-spitting snarls. SEPTEM opened shows for various artists such as Tank, Frostmoon Eclipse, Cadaveria, Pino Scotto, Sabotage to name only a few. With the release of this album, SEPTEM will tour Italy and some countries in Europe. This album was recorded at Italian top Nadir Music Studios in Genoa with the expert supervision of Tommy Talamanca (Sadist) as the producer.
Classic Heavy Metal combined with modern, intensely accelerated rhythms and growl.
Recorded and mixed by producer Tommy Talamanca (Sadist) at Italian famous Nadir Music Studios.
