Other releases of the band: This is their third EP and they have released just as many singles.

On which label released: The whole thing they have brought i self-directed over the stage

How did I get to know the band: Do I have to mention who sent me this EP? Yes? Of course, the Metal Devastation Radio provided me with new food again.

How do I find the record: The whole thing clearly sounds like Sweden. I can't define it exactly, but the music sounds Swedish. But enough of aolch abstract expressions that probably only work in my head. The vocals are beautifully dark and inhumane, but you can understand them without any problems. As usual for Melo-Death, here is worked with some fiddling, but it fits, there are also clubs in places, but all in all I lack the hardness here. The songs are mostly in mid-tempo, but not heavy enough to really ignite with me.

Conclusion: Probably something for genre fans. Yes, the solos are crisp, the fiddling fits, but I miss the heavyness. Unfortunately, the EP leaves me cold, but listen if you're into Swedish Melodic Death Metal: - FULL METAL MAYHEM

FFO: Behemoth, Rotting Christ, Kuolemanlaakso

Location: Kungsör, Sweden

Born from the mind of Toni Åkerman, and named after the mythological seven cities of gold, Cibola is a one-man project from Sweden.

This is Cibola's third EP during the pandemic years and the gloomiest of the three releases. The darkness has spread over the world, and everything feels hopeless and out of salvation. Let us burn.
