If the promo company does not manage to get me, the reviewer, the most basic information about a publication, this also clouds the listening pleasure. And so I can only report (with reservations!) that PRAYER LINE are an American quartet from Louisville, Kentucky and the present EP "Thrill Me, Lick Me, Fuck Me, Kill Me" is not their first release.
The seven songs on this disc are not as bad as the introduction suggests. An interesting mix of horror punk, thrash metal and a small dash of MOTÖRHEAD noise. In fact, this sounds both catchy and varied. In addition, there is also a varied vocals, which is a little based on the basic mood of the song. Whether someone else is always singing or a strong vocal acrobat with a variable organ? No idea, see above.
Stylistically, one also remains in horror punk with regard to covers, titles of the EP and song names. "Night Of The Demons" or "Reanimator" probably speak for themselves. A bit silly are the short interlude "Poem" and the outro "Ending", which lasts a whopping three minutes. Especially on an EP I find such gimmicks completely superfluous.
I can describe the production as mixed at most. In this day and age, it is possible to get a reasonable and powerful sound anywhere on the planet. Especially at the beginning ("Bad Bad Boy") it clatters at all corners and ends and the drums sound more like cardboard boxes. In the end it gets better, because the whole thing had much more pressure and is much cleaner. Are the songs perhaps from different recordings? No idea, see above.
PRAYER LINE play on "Thrill Me, Lick Me, Fuck Me, Kill Me" an interesting mix, which does not always show completely, but which would be worth presenting to a wider audience. But for this the band should urgently strive for more promotion. - My Revelations

Prayer line just released a new video for the song Reanimator! From the EP "Thrill Me, Lick Me, F*ck Me, Kill Me," available on Never Nervous Records. Video produced and edited by Dennis Stein. Check it out below!

Release date July 16, 2021

FFO: Murderdolls, Rob Zombie, Wednesday 13

PRAYER LINE is ready to return in 2021 with a 6 song EP titled Thrill Me, Lick Me, Fuck Me, Kill Me . This would serve as the follow-up to their self-released debut album Drink The Blood which was released in April of 2019. The bands previous releases have more of a Horror Punk vibe. This collection moves into Crossover Thrash territory with songs influenced by bands like Motorhead and Municipal Waste . Lyrically, the band draws inspiration from pop culture relics such as The Thing, Night of the Creeps and The Exorcist . The music was produced and recorded by Dave Chale at Deadbird Studios . They plan to promote the EP in the new year with social media ad campaigns, music videos (one for each song), and regional tours (when it is safe to do so again).
