Two-man Black Metal project from Massachusetts. Created by Nolan, a 16-year-old, who masterminds the project, writing and recording all the instruments. Vocals from a seasoned Black Metal musician Mictain. Who is well known in the scene of New England Metal.
Inspired by Traditional Scandinavian Black Metal, the album comprises of Tremolo guitar picking and relentless blast beats from the drums, giving it the Trve Kvlt sound. Mictain's vocals are perfect for the vibe of the album, it is clear he puts real emotion into his work which makes for a more interesting performance than a lot of generic new wave black metal. Melodic guitar solos and lead throughout also gives the album an element of Death Metal, they are not limiting themselves to just one style.
The name is derived from the Latin word Necro – meaning death. NECRALANT itself isn’t technically a word. The band explores themes of The Left Hand Path and the occult. The Left-Hand Path is an approach to magic based in rejecting societal conventions and embracing the more ‘taboo’ parts of life. Aleister Crowley was a Left-Hand Path occultist which should set the tone for the kind of themes NECRALANT explore.
Everything from the raw production, the instrumentation, the vocals, "Temples Of Ruin" is a dark, mystical, occult driven throwback to the Scandinavian Black Metal of the early nineties.
I am interested to see what NECRALANT will have coming as they develop their sound and lyrical themes. - Metal Temple
Necralant 's second album, " Temples of Ruin ", is a deeper, darker look into the great abyss of black/death metal, unveiling and evoking the Black Flame of the Left Hand Path and it's mysteries. Featuring seven new hymns of blackened metal mysticism and ritualistic poetry, the listener is sure to be captured by the macabre rhythms, haunting melodies and hellish beckoning of this sophomore offering.
