It causes me intense joy every time I see a band from Latin America come to Europe and prove that if you can. It is a path of effort and sacrifice, but they are here and now we get Jet Jaguar, band formed in 2014 in Cancun. With only one EP in 2016 they made a first European tour that went through Germany, Belgium, Holland, Poland, Hungary and Romania. They have received worldwide recognition for being the first Spanish-American band to win the Wacken Open Air Metal Battle in Germany in 2017.

Already with these achievements, which have not come out of nowhere, plus the release of their debut album with Pride and Joy Music the band has a position that must continue to defend. Music is a retro thing. It is a Hard Rock heavily influenced by the eighties. I'm sure that groups like Skid Rock on their debut album, Bon Jovi and the best exponents of American glam are the protein that has made Jet Jaguargrow.

The band does not disgust him to sing in Spanish, and there are "Tormenta" and "Nunca Más", although their first song in Spanish was "Rompiendo el Acero" which came out on their first EP and I am glad that they do not repeat here, not because of the language but because of the fact that it is a recording from three years ago and it is better to present fresh songs. The rest is sung in English.

Among the standout pieces is "Up to the Top" with a riff that may very well have been born in Los Angeles just like "Mr. Lee" and so many others. In other songs the group works a chorality that perhaps in the live shows is effective as it happens in the tracks "Blinding Lights" with great force and also in "Race or Die". Guitar riffs are made to give you joy and at the same time make you remember, something that will happen in more than a moment. When the songs start there are moments that you expect the voice of Ozzy Osbourne, Don Dokken or Jeff Keith from Tesla to come in.

Since we're talking about vocalists, Maxx Mendoza's voice fits like a methacrylate glove on hand. The same handles the whisper in "No Surrender" that launches into the impossible treble of "Final Prayers." They end with "10,000 Voices" which is the furthest piece from the rest of the album with a semi-orchestral intermission that contrasts sharply with the beginning and end.

Congratulations Jet Jaguar. You should be proud of what has been achieved and at the same time ready to move forward. - Made In Metal

JET JAGUAR BIOGRAPHY 2021
JET JAGUAR was formed in 2014 and hails from Cancún, a city located in the Mayan region of Mexico. The band’s name was partially inspired by the jaguar, a sacred animal for the Mayan civilization and for the areas where the Mayans used to inhabit. Also in 2014, the band released their first demo “Call of the Fight”, which gave them the opportunity to open for Canadian bands Skull Fist and Striker. In early 2016, their “Zero Hour" EP was released. The  title track and their first Spanish song "Rompiendo el Acero" became fan favorites. 2017 was a busy year for JET JAGUAR. That year saw them tour Mexico twice (for a total of 35 dates). The band also embarked on their first European Tour (across Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Hungary and Romania).

In August 2017, JET JAGUAR received worldwide recognition by being the first Hispanic-American band to ever win the Wacken Open Air Metal Battle in Germany. In 2018, JET JAGUAR performed in Mexico City at the biggest metal festival in Latin America: "Corona Hell & Heaven" (acts such as Ozzy Osbourne, Deep Purple, Scorpions, Judas Priest, Megadeth and Gojira also performed). This was followed by their first gig at the Lunario del Auditorio Nacional, which is one of the most important venues for emerging artists in Mexico. JET JAGUAR kicked off 2019 by performing at the biggest festival in Costa Rica: "Grito Latino". The band dedicated the rest of the year to the production of their debut album “Endless Nights. The album was mixed and mastered by Swedish producer Henrikk Udd, who has also worked with bands like Powerwolf, At The Gates, Hammerfall and Bring Me The Horizon. “Endless Nights” was finally released in July 2020, under German label Pride & Joy Music.
