Portal will be releasing its first new album in five years come 2018 and it's exactly the noisy, dissonant hellscape you were hoping for. Portal will release Ion on January 26 and the new song "Phreqs" is an absolute catastrophe on the ears in the best way possible. The artwork for Ion was done by Zbigniew M. Bielak, and the hectic and confusing style seems to go along incredibly well with the music.
